Even the people holding space for others need space to breathe, too.

For mental health professionals, compassion fatigue and burnout can build quietly over time, especially in work centered around constant emotional presence. Research shows compassion fatigue is common among helping professions and can affect both wellbeing and the sustainability of care itself.
