Zambia is accelerating its digital transformation agenda through a strategic agreement with . The pact was formalized during the Zambia Mobile Congress 2026 and focuses on deploying network, cloud and AI infrastructure across the government ecosystem.

The Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) between the SMART Zambia Institute, the country's e-government division, and Huawei enables AI-powered e-government services across government sectors. Key pillars of the MoU include Government digital transformation, technology transfer, AI deployment, a national AI data center study, and training 5,000 ICT professionals through Huawei ICT Academy by 2028.
