As the end of the financial year approaches, a little preparation now can make things much smoother later.

Here’s a simple checklist to get started:
• Review inventory – complete a stocktake and check records are accurate
• Reconcile accounts – ensure sales, expenses and bank statements are up to date
• Check payroll – confirm employee records, super, tax details and ensure Qualifying Earnings have been configured ready for Payday Super starting on July 1
• Plan ahead – set clear financial goals for the new year

Have you got your ducks lined up for tax time? 🦆

With the end of the financial year approaching, a little preparation now can make June much less stressful.

Here are a few simple checks many retailers find helpful in the lead-up to EOFY:

🦆 Review your inventory
A stocktake or inventory check helps make sure your records reflect what’s actually on the shelves.

🦆 Reconcile your accounts
Ensure sales, expenses and bank transactions are up to date so your reports are accurate when you need them.

🦆 Check payroll records
Confirm employee details, super contributions and tax withholdings are correct before finalising the year.

🦆 Run key reports early
Generating reports ahead of time gives you a chance to spot anything unusual and fix it before the rush.

🦆 Talk with your accountant
A quick conversation now can help you understand what information they’ll need from you.
